Kathy Schoenberger, L.Ac., MSAOM, Dipl.Ac.
Kathy is passionate about bringing the healing power of Acupuncture to her patients and having a positive impact on their lives. Acupuncture can help relieve symptoms caused by injury, physical conditions, mental health issues, and stress. Kathy’s approach is to identify and treat the underlying causes of symptoms to achieve balance and promote healing. She is interested in how beliefs and emotions negatively impact the body, and the positive effects acupuncture has on the brain in treating emotional, mental, and neurological conditions. Kathy has treated patients with health issues including chronic pain, joint injuries and arthritis, digestive issues, women’s health, stress-related fatigue, anxiety, and depression. Her techniques include acupuncture in combination with cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, or Chinese herbs when appropriate to accelerate healing.
Kathy is committed to helping patients feel good about aging and feeling confident in their skin. To this end she completed a certificate the Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System™ under Dr. Martha Lucas, Ph.D, L.Ac. in Denver, Colorado. Kathy offers cosmetic acupuncture for the face and neck as an effective non-invasive alternative to Botox and plastic surgery to stimulate collagen and elastin at the deeper levels of the skin. This series of treatments provides balance to the body as well, promoting relaxation and well-being.
Kathy is close to completing a 12-month Mentorship Program in Pulse Diagnosis and Balancing under Dr. Martha Lucas, Ph.D, L.Ac. There are hundreds of acupuncture point combinations to treat imbalances in the body, and each of the organ systems has a related pulse to help identify these imbalances. Kathy takes pulses multiple times throughout a treatment to determine the effects of point combinations along the way in order to guide treatment strategy. Her goal is to work together with patients to get at the underlying causes of their health concerns in order to bring relief, and improve their energy and vitality.
Kathy is a licensed Acupuncture practitioner in the State of Minnesota through the State of MN Medical Board. She received a Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the American Academy of Acupuncture in Roseville, MN. She is a diplomat of Acupuncture and nationally board certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She has an MBA from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA, and a BS in Computer Science and Economics from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN.
