Matthew is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Minnesota through the Board of Medical Practice and also a Nationally Board Certified acupuncturist and Diplomat of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Matt’s focus is on pain relief and injury recovery.
He graduated from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine Wisconsin, which is one of the oldest schools for the study of Chinese Medicine in the United States.
During his internship at the Midwest College, he honed his skills as an acupuncturist as well as an herbalist and a traditional Chinese nutrition therapist. He graduated from the dual degree program with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.
His focus in clinical practice is to provide a broad and diverse treatment to his patients including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Chinese nutrition therapy and adjunct modalities such as cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and electrostimulation (E-Stim) acupuncture. He provides treatments for physical injuries needing therapy as much as internal medicine concerns as well as a variety of health conditions ranging from mental and emotional issues to matters of the spirit.
Outside of the clinic, Matthew enjoys exercise, bicycling the many trails around the Twin Cities, gardening and relaxing at home with a good book or film.
He lives in Minneapolis with his partner and their three cats.
