When I found out I was pregnant for a second time, I knew I wanted to attempt a VBAC. At 35 weeks, I found out that my baby girl was breech. Hoping to avoid another c-section due to breech, I committed to trying anything to get this girl to move! When my doctor suggested acupuncture and using moxa, I’ll admit I was more than skeptical. From her personal experience, it had worked the first time – could I be so lucky too?! When I came across Nicky and her practice, I was excited to try it, though braced myself that it just might not work. I had one appointment and couldn’t believe the response I got – SO MUCH MOVEMENT! I didn’t even attempt moxa or Spinning Babies at home, because I was so sure she had flipped. Upon an ultrasound a few days later, I saw that it did work! I came back for (what would end up being) my last appointment to maintain her position. It was such a relaxing experience and completely changed my mind on these kinds of alternative practices. I did end up getting my VBAC success story and am convinced that it’s because of the care I received with Nicky.
